Although I usually don’t do 1/72 scale aircraft, I have been looking forward to getting one of these kits. Doesn’t look that difficult for someone who doesn’t have that much experience with aircraft. Thought the decals might have the trident for the top of the fuselage.

Hi Jim, if you want markings with the trident, you should wait for IBG’s kit version of the “Ghost of Kyiv”. At least on the box cover it is shown on the topside. Should get out to resellers in the next weeks, as I was told by a representative of IBG at the World Model Expo in the Netherlands last weekend.
The plastic is Trumpeter’s MiG-29.
