I suspect that many WWI veterans, if not atheists, at least questioned their faith to some extent.
1 replyand here was me thinking this was a reference to a song by Sabaton
SABATON - Gott Mit Uns - English (Official Lyric Video)
1 replyNice piece, reminds me of Shep Paine’s ‘Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing’ diorama from back in the late 70’s early 80’s time frame.

I think, IIRC, that his family hoped he would become a priest! Talk about ironic! I suspect there is a certain irony about the name of this excellent piece intended. “God is with us, it says so on our belt buckles.” “That’s because he’s the only one who is!” Tiny and Porta from Sven Hassel book (can’t remember which).
2 repliesAnd what a great series of books they were, too. Sven Hassel and Guy Sajer, the forgotten soldier. Incredible reading as a teenager.
So, I like this. Great job on the subject manner, design and execution. I think the weathering of the kit, is exceptional. The skill of the modeler is way above me! It’s good enough to see it displayed in an AK Weathering magazine/Book.
I wonder how long it took. To me, it must have taken a year.
So here is my question. How did the 88 get installed int this area? With 2 of the corners of the base located so near the wall, how did they get it in position?
1 replyYeah, considering the space limitations a Pak 40 would’ve made more sense. But that just doesn’t have the ‘cool’ factor a big old '88 does! Perhaps a little ‘suspension of disbelief’ is called for here?!?

I believe the quote was from ‘Wheels of Terror’
