Looks excellent. Definitely gotta get one of these
While the IDF-heavies market is pretty well served, softkins are practically non-existent. This is a very welcome addition!
I think that laser printing is producing the thin rollbars that are so troublesome for plastic and resin makers to produce.
It’s an IDF TOW version…personally, I would have preferred the machine gun version.
IDF LandRovers are long overdue.
Note there are several models based on the LR Defender 110. This is the Mifrasit (sail boat) MEDEVAC version, it differs by having a single roll bar with backward facing seats behind it for medics and a flat frame for stretchers. Some of them are armed with commander MG, usually Negev.
The standard LR Defender 110 model used by Special Forces is the Regel Etz (Wooden leg) version. It has two roll bars and two rows of forward-facing seats, without forward window or doors. Some of them are armed with commander MG (either MAG or Negev), while others have MG mounted on the front roll bar or a heavy telescopic mount originally used for TOW missiles and now used for either Spike ATGM or an AGL.
1 replyWow those are great pics!
Last but not least, other models of the 110 that deserve recognition here:
Regel etz comms vehicle. Some of them were fitted wit ha third roll bar to protect the comms systems
At the early days of the war, some were used without the comms gear as simple assault vehicle
Shaldag, the IAF SF unit has it’s own model. Since its name was’nt published AFAIK, we’ll leave it this way
Spear mobile mortar is a system installed on both Humvee and Regel etz. It has a 120mm mortar installed on a folding, quick deployment arm the also work as automatic aiming module enslaved to computerized fire control system
