The IPMS Seattle / Region 7 Show was held on April 27 in Renton Washington. The show was a success thanks to the efforts of our team leaders, volunteers, vendors, and participants. Last year’s show was a record breaker after the long COVID hiatus. Most shows this year report fewer models and modelers than 2023. Our show was no different. We had a respectable 943 contest entries from 203 modelers. The quality and variety of the models was outstanding, and the judges had a tough time picking the winners. The Kid’s Make-N- Take had 16 kids participate. 320 spectators come to view the models.
I want to thank all the people who made this show possible. Over 120 volunteers worked to make the show a success. I especially want to thank our leads who worked tirelessly before, during and after the show to make sure everything ran smoothly. I also want to thank our vendors who brought a great selection of kits, books, tools, and accessories for us to browse and buy – 70 tables piled high with goodies. The vendors reported excellent sales and we all have larger stashes as a result.
