1/25th scale Ferdinand

So, I finished this build probably 8 years ago. She is 100 percent scratch-built, no 3D no CAD nothing but sheets of plastic and resin parts I created.
I am proud of the work, if not the completion. By this I mean, the wok that went into the build has helped me CONSIDERABLY, but the finished build isn’t so great. My math skills let me down, AGAIN. Thus, some major problems with the track design and fit, not to mention the road wheels. I still have some barbed wire to finish on the base, and really haven’t been looking forward to that.

That’s some very serious scratch-building! I take it you built one wheel and one track link, then moulded and cast resin copies? (Please say you didn’t build each link from Evergreen strip!)

Very impressive indeed, huge amount of work & I also really like your base. Bravo :+1:

Thank you both.
For the record, I created the two part track-link, that’s what I call them, there is a male and female that make up each section, Both from plastic strips and bits, then cast them. It was a HUGE undertaking, But as I posted, she is 100 percent hand scratch built, that is something i always wanted to do.
As for the base, that was the first base I completed in over 30 years. Up until the Ferdinand I just positioned my builds on plaque bases. I am still learning the subtleties of bases. The stinking rotten barbed wire is hand crafted bit by bit. And still have about 20 inches of wire to go…
Thank you again
