Not particularly, medics are to protect themselfs and those under their care; which includes from the enemy in some cases.
The proceeding parts of the Geneva convention establish what a medic is “the personnel of the formation or establishment is armed, and that they use the arms in their own defence or in that of the sick and wounded in charge;”
First step in the weathering process, using Mr. Weathering Color enamels. This is a very early and messy dust layer, but I could almost consider it done at this point! However there are more media and steps to go until it’s done, and this is the base for them.
Finally finished with this thing! My last build for 2025.
1/35 BTR-85 armored ambulance, 2nd Tank Regiment “Husayn ibn Ali,” 26th Armored Brigade, 5th Mechanized Division “Muhammad ibn al Qasim,” Iraqi 3rd Army Corps “Al Qadisiyah,” Battle of al Khafji, Saudi Arabia, January 1991.
This is the Bronco YW-750 (called BTR-85 in Iraqi service), with metal tracks from Ace, resin jerrycan from Legends, tow cables from Eureka, and tow cable clamps and radio antenna designed and printed in resin by me. The decals were drawn by me and printed by DRAW!Decal.
That is a very interesting finish Matt. The way the dirt, dust and grime seems to cling to it, particularly in the various nooks and crannies, is pretty cool. It looks hard used but obviously still functioning and in decent order.
Thanks pal. This was my reference.. the look I tried to achieve was “recently repainted but heavily used in the harsh environment of Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.” Photos from Khafji showed lots of these vehicles were very clean while others were extremely dirty and dinged up.. this photo was a perfectly happy medium.
