1/35 Takom SADF G6 Rhino

Well, here we go!

There is a learning curve, but I like what I am seeing. The finish is more “organic” for lack of a better word using the oil wash and dot method.

The main gun suddenly looks very long!:face_with_peeking_eye:

Anyway, I’m pleased with my progress.

Till the next update (hopefully soon)!

I have been crying into my coffee for the last couple of weeks, I put down a matt varnish coat that somehow backfired and went milky on application!!

Now that I have mentally recovered from the disaster and not binning the kit in frustration, I need to figure a method of recovery. I’m thinking another general oil wash to kill the milky deposit and repaint some smaller areas like the hydraulic shafts.

Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

Till next time.

I have used a gloss coating over it, which worked

As Frank said, shoot a gloss coat all over it and that will get rid of the frosting. Then you can try a [different] flat coat.

I feel the pain

I once mixed up the bottles and used pur Flate Base…

Clear gloss helped a little, but in the end I rebuild the worst parts….

But, to see the good side, of this, I know now, how to make frost effekts, very easy
