101st AIRBORNE AT CARENTAN, JUNE 1944

I can imagine that this is a theme with lots of conflict potential in your Country and I did not wanted to start any conflict here. That’s all I say, I don’t like walking on thin ice😂

No conflict, Marco. Just a discussion among people who disagree.

I normally would not want to derail the thread again, but I am simply responding to the OP’s own comment…

I’m sure our JAG lawyers were all over the legalities of our actions. I know I personally affected many people’s lives down there in a positive manner. What I found disturbing was the creep towards illegality. And that even includes NOLA’s own police force. We were assigned to Algiers for reason. It was bad. A few bad people can make a place bad, when no one is there to stick up for you.
I can’t think of anyone on this planet I would rather have assigend to protect me than a company of SF dudes. Dudes who know how to be lethal when lathality is demanded, and who can be compassionate and help the community when it is not. As I said, no murders while were there. Two as soon as we left. Yet we did not leave a path of death and destruction in our wake. We simply did what we do.
Whom would you rather have? Cops who shoot and kill inocent bystanders in a mall? Who even needs an AR in a mall?
Or perhaps we want cops who shoot and kill mentally ill people.
Or…Cops who stand idly by while children are being shot to death? Don’t forget to aapply that free hand sanitizer, bro.

No, we were exactly the right dudes in exactly the right place.

Remember our stated mission.

Your right, it’s okay and important to talk about things, specialy with people who have a different view. But it’s easier if you speak the same language

I know, that’s a problem if you try to speak an other language. When I was in England the first time, I thought there is no problem to speak with the people there, I was so wrong. In the first days I did’nt understand a lot.
I would like to send a pm :v:

Ok, back on thread or go PM, please!
