Hello all, with the interest in these kits I thought I’d try and give some insight into the things to look for in them, based on my looking at their instructions and others observations. This is open to corrections from anyone more knowledgeble. First the M54 cargo.this is an M54A2C,which is a dropside version. To build an A1 you need to buy the conversion from Swooze on EBay. It also only builds the winch version. To build it without the winch you need to remove the 6mm from the front rails, as shown in the King Kong instructions. Next, the King Kong version. It just builds as this version, but shows cutting the frame rails for a non winch version. Next the Eve of Destruction version. This just has parts for this version. Now we come to the M51’S. the standard Dump truck version has the S parts for this version, but doesn’t show the cuts for the non winch, which was common. Lastly, we come to the Peace Maker gun truck version.First off, they used the frame assembly page from the King Kong instructions, so it shows the wrong, long frame rails. It should use the S rails from the dump version. It does show the cuts for the rails to be a non winch version. Next, they are missing the Q sprue for the armored glass windshield that comes in the EVE kit. They are shown in the instructions, but not on the sprues list. There are some build problems that are addressed in Warren’s “Building the Peace Maker” post, so I won’t relist them. Just a personal observation, I saw more 5 tons without the winch than with, including the one I drove. If building other gun trucks, be sure and check this detail in pictures. Hope this will be helpful. Wayne
