I agree. And I think it’s great that folks are taking the time out to honor Mr. Tamiya with memories of their builds. In the early 70’s I was still building Monogram armor - the M48, the Deuce and a Halfs, the Jeep with the Howitzer. Even some of their 1/32 stuff, thanks to Shep Paine. But as I gravitated more toward German armor, I simply found it more econimal to purchase 1/48 Bandai kits. If I saved my school lunch money every day, by the end of the week I had enough for a kit, I remember b…
