Nice. That could be the way to go with the Airfix one and the issue of the roof grill having sink areas in it#. Carve it off and make your own from spare engine mesh … Its looking very good mate.
As you are probably know He is making
Few more sets this is another one.
You could easily spend way more than the kits original cost
Great build thanks for sharing it with us
Thanks for all your comments, those update kits are expensive and to TBH if I didn’t have the AA parts to add to mine I still don’t think I could justify that outlay! With a bit of work with a sanding stick and scratching/spares etc the kit can be improved if you wanted👍
Very true … If they are 15 quid a pop then you could buy another Stolly kit for that… A bit of modelling work and you could easily improve the kit yourself..
That is looking really good mate … I take it the wipers are from the AA kit ? they look a huge improvement over the kit offering. I like how it looks there … I’d be tempted to leave the sides off.
Thanks mate, the wipers are indeed part of the AA etch.As for the sides all will be revealed😉
One of those side windows need sorted as well🙄
Jacko
That picture is secret don’t share it with anyone else😂
Mmm the more I look that stowage rack isn’t right and is going to have to be done again (4th time)
lol … I forgot about the PODs
Back to the kit after another bash at the stowage rack🙄,
Swim board on again a mix of both kits, the board is Airfix and has some good detail and the support brackets are AA!
This Airfix kit is a nuisance!some very good bits let down by quite frankly terrible thickness etc on others😡
Cheers
Jacko
That does seem to be the case, but yours is going to be a great kit bash from the 2 kits … the board looks great,
Ah that brings back a few memories, usually of a woodland track with a troop or two of tanks refueling. Typically the pylon line on Soltau.
Nearly done, still a few bits to go on but I’m away fora week so this is it for a while👍

There is a bit of tidying up to do on the paint etc.
Thanks for looking in
Jacko
That is looking so good mate. Brings back a lot of Soltau memories for sure.
It was always nice to see the pod and not the packed fuel truck. Filling up nigh on 900litres of diesel using cans was not fun. I agree this is looking the dogs danglies.
Thanks for the comments, glad it brings back some memories
When it’s finished I will list the mix of parts I used👍
Now look what’s about to descend upon us😂
Now that does interest me …
Check out the site there are a couple of mods that are interesting👍
