We are now less than 2 weeks away from the largest gathering of armor modelers in North America this year and there’s no stopping this train now. The show schedule of events is set, vendors confirmed, seminar topics and times are announced and the AMPS 2022 Show team is ready to roll. As you are finishing up your entries and slowly getting ready to pack them securely for the trip to Newport News, VA, be sure to review those entries one more time using the AMPS Contest Rules as a guide to help identify anything you may have overlooked. Then…pack 'em up securely and get ready for a great armor modeling convention with friends and fellow AMPS members, wherever they are from. Pre-registration closes 3/31/2022, Thursday which is your last chance to fill out entry forms in the privacy of your own, comfortable surrounds. If you have never tried pre-registration with AMPS before, now would be a great time to try it for yourself. It’s quite easy and hassle-free and one less thing to do when arriving at the show.
Judging shifts still need plenty of people to help keep the judging ‘pit’ moving during the convention weekend. Two shifts gets you a free AMPS Crew tee shirt, plus you will be helping out all AMPS members attending the show in helping the show stay on schedule. Check out the training modules on the AMPS homepage (amps-armor.org), regardless of whether you’ve never judged or have judged at AMPS shows in the past.
NOTE: On Saturday, April 2nd, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, there will be an AMPS Judges training session held via Zoom. Visit the AMPS homepage (amps-armor.org) for more information and the link to participate in this on-line meeting.
