Medieval, and Renaissance era anchors (think Nina/Pinta/Santa Maria) were, among other things, made of iron. Most modelers, including myself (because other modelers do this), paint the iron parts of the anchor black. Wouldn’t the anchors quickly rust? Or were they always kept well-greased to prevent rust?
