Badger 3D appear to be no more

Thanks Paul for the heads-up; their stuff looks quite good even under magnification.

I could be tempted by their Tracked Rapier I must admit.

Hmm. This one looks pretty crude. I really want to add an M44 in 1:35 to my collection but this looks more like a toy.

I agree; might be a decent basis for 1:72/1:76 but no more. However, their graphics for the Tracked Rapier look markedly different. Whether that’s the result of a software package or a decent accurate rendition for the real thing I don’t know.

More research I think!

A lot depends on the scale the CAD was designed for. They offer their models in a wide range, and unless they have different designs for each scale they’d have probably designed for the smallest (affecting wall thicknesses and level of detail) and then are willing to scale it up. That means the 1:35 version can be rather crude. Going the other way leads to wall-thickness failures as the model is too delicate in smaller sizes unless thickened up. Of course some of their models may start at 1:35 in which case they may look good in large size…

Hmmmm. Looks like a Tracked Rapier in 1:35 may be elusive.

A note to taylorrl,
The M44 SPG is a kit produced under licence (not one from the Osiris range).
Consequently, this is not to the same level as the company’s own products.

A friend has that and in 1/35, the walls are massively thick.
