How did the A-24s aim things? (Bombs .50 cals) Photos, near as I can tell don’t show the telescopic sight sticking trough the windscreen. No reflector sight. (Seen a -5 with an obvious one. ) Kinda point the nose at the target and pray? (Carry over from the old U Civil War days? Lots of guys thought that, even in combat, killing someone was a sin. They would point their musket in the direction of the enemy, turn their head (or close their eyes) and pull the trigger. If they hit something it was an act of God, not murder.)
Many untrained people firing guns still do this … sigh …
