Belgium IPMS - Plastic & Steel Model Show 10/11 Oct 26

Just a reminder about this most excellent show; sadly and with great regret, I and my modelling friend Pete Smith, will not be attending this year, due primarily, to medical reasons afflicting yours truly. We normally exhibit there (and have been for some years) and this is really a great blow for us.

However, notwithstanding that, it really is a great 2 days (always a bonus) and is one of the best shows around. It takes place in Mechelen, a great but small city with abundant hotels, restaurants and excellent beer.

I cannot recommend it enough; it’s easy enough for even the most lazy and xenophobic of Brits to get there via the Channel tunnel, and to those continental-based modellers, perhaps in Germany and Holland (and even Belgium) why not give it a go if you haven’t been before? You’ll never waste time at Telford again.

It is very friendly and welcoming, no elitist crap which can so often be the case as some shows seem to wish to alienate and disappear up their own fundament with their self-importance. Excellent on-site catering, endless traders bursting with kits that one cannot possibly live without, a well attended competition - and boy! Is the standard high, but all encouraging stuff.

Do try it - and hopefully, if you do, and agree with me, I’ll see you there next year.

Just a bump in case there are some who are dithering over whether to attend or not. The 10th isn’t far away.

It really is worth the effort Folks!
