What is the best XPS foam board for buildings to purchase in the USA?

Owens Corning is my personal favorite. I bought a sheet of the pink board accordian fold 1/4 inch and for me it worked great, YMMV; there’s a membrane on the outside that I peeled off to expose the foam underneath.

I bought these online but don’t have a record on eBay or Amazon as to who I purchased them from or how much. And there are no markings on the pieces that indicate a brand. They are 4” high, 12” long and 71/2 “ wide. I used a piece for my latest diorama and it cut nicely on my fish cutting machine. Sorry I can’t be of more help.

You can get foam-core notice boards about 2’ x 2’ in $+ stores for a couple of dollars. Just peel off the plastic (or sometimes paper) surface and you have 1/4 ", or 5 mm, sheet foam.

Meat packing trays work well for certain applications. No paper to peel off either.
