I bought a really cheap set of 12 tweezers from Princess Auto and the tips are very soft and fling things. I also only use two types of the tweezers angled and pointy.
I bought a razor saw from UMM too, JLC which is pretty kick-a**.

I do find some by moving the desk and some may get crushed but I think I’d see that they were. I have had parts re-appear 6 months after thay disappeared

it’s not just small parts the carpet monster is fond of. I dropped a PE square that was 0.75cm square into a fairy short piled carpet and i’m buggered if i can find it

I’m convinced my own carpet is a portal to another dimension, just like a wormhole! Things vanish, either for ages or forever…
Of course that makes the Carpet Monster a multidimensional alien creature!
