Scarab moves on still. Propellor shafts installed and clearance checked for proposed props
Stern compartment gets rudders fitted with linkage and geared tiller
The stern completed with the heads (toilets) installed over the stern. Fire steps for Oerlikons printed to try and work out where I should put them. Photos don’t show all positions so some guessing may have to happen. I know she had 8, I can see on photos where the forward pair were with a hint of 4 more on the battery deck and probably 2 right aft.
Bridge structure complete with new shortened funnels, the original funnels were correct to plans but photos show they had been shortened by 5 ft by 1943.
Forward breastwork and superstructure. Hoping the weather will warm up enough to start painting next week

Andrew, thank you for drawing my attention to this interesting class of ship. A brief internet search has now got my interest and I so now want to build one in 1/350 but alas all I can find is a 1/700 IJN Suma the captured ex HMS Moth. So it looks like all I can do is follow your build and maybe build the IJN Suma.

I have the floor pans basically done for my Beetle entry (on right) and my Karmann-Ghia for the Tamiya Tribute campaign. Both bodies need polishing of mold lines before I can paint them; this is the hardest part of the build for me.
