The Pictures should say it.
I almost pitched the whole thing, but my Wife yelled at me, and I took a long Nap.
It worked out in the end, But Man do I Hate Photoetch.

I lost a lot of the Tiedowns to breakage until I found that if you brush a little glue on them and let it dry, before removing from the Sprue they were less likely to brake.
NAP time again

Great build and kit details - but is it just my pet peeve or did the M8 really have two identical taillights instead of the one on the right having two slits?

I found the same with the M5A1 ones but a smear of thin cyano did the trick for me and still meft them able to be fixed to the kit with liquid poly glue.

That dash panel did come out rather sweet though.

Both taillight housings are the same, but the lights inside are different. Only the top left light should be red. The rest are blackout drive lights, and should be grey.

I fixed the Tail Light, and have a little more finished.

This is real slow going

A little more done.
Originally I used the angled parts called for in the instructions, but then I found other parts that I think look better.

I installed all of the Truck , Sprocket, & Idlers.

I’m working on the Turret Now. I’ll be doing the Tracks last of all.

Nice and busy, there seems more than average little extras many companies tend to miss out

Photo 108: perhaps that is the stowed/travel position?

Nope, that gunner’s sight head is backwards. It can be turned that way, but only in rare instances would that need to place the aiming stakes behind the vehicle. It would look much more normal turned 180°.

I turned it with some careful cutting.

Today I have the 50 Cal. Mg.
The fit is questionable especially on raising and lowering the gun.

I’ll be working on the Tracks next, so it may be a while .

Well it took me three days to get it all cleaned up and assembled.
here it is.

It wasn’t really hard, just time consuming . .
Each shoe has 5 parts X 65 Shoes each side = 325 Pcs. X 2 Tracks = 650 pieces that’s a lot of Clean up and painting.

Now to weather it and then the install, Darn I hope it fits.

Well it was an extremely tight fit but it went on, Here are the Pics.

Now to add the detailing and weathering, I’ll post next time when it is all finished

I wonder how long it will be before some enterprising resin-parts company comes up with the bright idea to make functional track-tensioning units for the large-scale tank models, just so that modelers can make the final bit of detailed adjustment to their models in the face of variations in the track link dimensions.

That should be part of the Kit, We pay enough for the kits as it goes.

well it is finally finished, on the interior this is all that is visible from the outside.

Just a note, the markings are from the parts box.
A lot of the interior such as the Drivers Instruments & controls aren’t visible
There’s a lot of Pe. in this kit.
Any Questions?

Donald.
