Building a German light field gun limber

Scratching a German limber for the last model of the LiechteFeldHaubitz 18/40.

I built one of these years ago for a large Falaise dio but I wanted to build another since I now have better ref pics plus I hope a bit more skilz.

A few enjoyable hours over 2 evening got me this far. It can be changed from th wooden wheel version to the earlier stamped wheel one by just changing the seating and backrests. Other tiny details prolly won’t be noticed.

I like what you‘re doing on this build

I did one in 1/25th scale for my Le ig 7.5

Your scratch building looks great.

Thanks buddy.

That is an AWESOME looking Limber

High praise coming from you! Thanks buddy.

I am doing the basic shapes first and then will move on to the details. I only have the one wheel that I made as a master pattern years ago so I need another. I am hoping my old old casting resin is still viable because I still have the wheel mold.

J,
that’s “kinda” what I do. My biggest self-handicap is diving headlong into a part or component, then moving on without totally finishing said part. See how the shield is not totally complete…

Regardless keep up the great work
