This model interests me. Last night, I spent two hours looking at available Merkava models, reading reviews, and looking for a decent reference book on the subject. Earlier this year, I purchased a Takom Merkava I and want to acquire some additional versions.

Merkava suspensions are complicated. What you have assembled so far looks good.

My Merkava is a Mk.4M from Meng, I’m less than halfway done.

Good one!

Yeah. My knowledge is barely more than, “that is a cool looking tank”. As with most modern vehicles, there are 40+ years of variants and minor modifications. I cannot find anything equivalent to a Panzer Tracts book on the subject.

I’m hoping I can find a easy choice of color when I get to that point.

The original Merk mock up was based on a reversed Centurion hull.
I’m watching as well.

As far as the correct color the answer is “Sinai Gray”.

The recipe for making it with Tamiya XF is (supposedly) XF-20+XF-57 ratio of 1:1.

But as far as what color is perfect, I can only say it varies…

Thanks, I’ll see what AK Interactive has to offer.

So these roadwheels are not mentioned in the directions, they look to be steel wheeled. Are they a option for the 2D?
Thanks

Working on the wheels-a separate ring is added to the outer wheel.
