Loved that one!

Installed 3D headlight guards from FC Model Trend. These are far superior compared with my scratchbuild or kit´s PE parts.
P.S. Getting the parts from “sprue” is a litte tricky.
Sieht klasse aus, Jan.

Definitely a challenging build! Congrats on reaching the summit of “Mt. Elbrus”!
I wonder if he had the same problems as I had? I also have the LAK II and there is a fair amount of putty needed.
Here you go.

It’s on my list - next time I return to Germany.
1982 was three years after the Egypt-Israel Peace Treaty, and I presume that the officers sent to an American training course were chosen for their diplomacy and tact.
American G.I.s were chummy with Germans and Japanese three months after they surrendered and we started occupying their country. People can change, I guess, if they want to.

One would hope, but that’s not always the case. In classes since, some officers have committed such serious offenses in comportment (not performance) that under ordinary circumstances they’d have been relieved from the course. They were not because they came from such places where the shame of failing the course might not have been just fatal to their careers,
Usually the foreign officers I’ve trained with have been the upstsanding sort, but you get the ones who feel entitled, and are very abrasive. Of course we have those in our own army.
