My local shop has the TOW missile variant. kind of curious to build it.

It’s mostly the same thing , just with a TOW Launcher instead of the Chain Gun.
(NOTE) The Track install is a lot like the install on the Ontos.
It’s rather STUPID . Once I get a few more parts on , I’ll be working on the Track and show the easy way.

Here I masked off the drivers Periscopes and used Bare Metal Foil on their back sides.

I used clear tape to hold the top and bottom together applied liquid glue to the seams where there wasn’t tape , removed the tape and glued the rest.
The Pe. grill didn’t fit to good.

The Track is next.

Great subject and in a scale that one day I have to surely make one or two kits in. The Wiesel would be at the top of my list. Will follow with great interest.

I have finished the Track and temporaily installed it.
I am showing 2 ways of assemblying it.
First the instructions (I would not recommend installing the wheels and track this way.

Now the Track assembly Kit wise

Now My Way

Anyway you get sections of Track Hey Whatever works for you.

You are going to need a total of 51 Shoes counting the FINAL CONECTOR

Make the Track into a loop, then install it as follows.

What? you mean you didn’t do the wheels like I showed you?
Oh well I’m shure you’ll figure out something.

Hey just joking.

Donald what happened?

I don’t know , I guess frustration finally caught up with me.
I’m not shure if I want to build anymore.
I need a break I’ll see in a week or two.
This is the first kit in many years that I havent completed.
I have been building since I was 11 years old , thats 65 years.
I’m not saying good by yet , but it’s all in gods hands.
Respectfully

Donald,
At 76 years young/old (depending on the day) I can understand.
Fortunately, we have many of your old builds to look at and study.
Take care and I hope to see you building Andy’s 251/1 halftrack this fall.
Apparently, according to Mega Hobby, Trumpeters version will be out this fall also.

I’m sorry guys , There are times that I just get so upset with the world and everything in it.
For me it’s genetic , my family lied to me my whole life for you see I,m not quite what I seem to be.
Well anyway my wife recovered all the parts un-damager and I’ll try again
D

The damed gun is what got me.

There’s a million parts under the cover and they don’t fit really good.

If you want to show off your work , why not do a build showing and explaining how you do it.
This just makes less experieced modelers feel frustrated.
I know my work is not the greatest but I try , and I would like to thing I’m helping someone some how.
But Hey who else is doing anything like I 'm doing.

I have the Base color painting finished.
If you did the Track as I showed you earlier you shouldn’t have any problem here , just assemble as shown.

The last two Pics. show the Gun Turret test fitted.
I had to do some trimming on the Tabs that hold it on to get it to fit.

Finished for now
