Bundeswehr panzer crew winter uniform

Hello all, I’ve done some researching with no clear answer, the question being, would the uniform this figure is wearing be available in snow or winter camo? Assuming tne beret badge can be changed.

Thank you,

Kylie

In the UK services, apart when on UN duties, when light blue UN berets are issued, each branch keep their own colour berets, mostly black for armour & artillery.

These are results for Do the German Bundeswehr have snow camouflage uniforms, (AI info)
Yes, the German Bundeswehr uses specialized snow camouflage uniforms, predominantly a classic pattern known as Schneetarn.

Developed in the 1960s, Schneetarn features a white base with blurry, pine-needle-like patterns of dark green and black. This over-suit is designed to be worn over standard field uniforms and includes:

Ponchos: Reversible hooded cloaks that provide concealment for both personnel and equipment.
Smocks & Over-trousers: Lightweight, loose-fitting outer layers used to blend into snowy alpine and forested environments.
Arctic Kits: Specialized cold-weather and mountain infantry units (e.g., Gebirgsjäger) utilize these alongside advanced cold-weather gear to operate in sub-zero conditions.

Slide 36 here, from the Bundeswehr pages, show Arctic gear worn.
More info from Camopedia and here BW Camo Variations

In Summary, it suggests the Arctic Kit is snow camo uniform, other arms would use smocks & overtrousers, but how that relates to armour crew, is inconclusive.

My inclination is not, as ponchos & over clothing would carry a high risk of catching on interior fittings.

I will ask your question on some German pages I follow.

It looks like a foul weather jacket to me (Nässeschutz). It of course depends which period you want to display. Bundeswehr Uniforms are a subject of constant change in the last years. Somehow I don´t think that Schneetarnanzug uniform was used on the tank.

Thank you, gents; as I suspected, the jacket is likely available in snow camo, but unlikely to be worn with the overall, which is not issued in snow camo. I’ll keep looking…

Which period do you want to display? Bundeswehr Uniforms changed over the years greatly. Currently we are fielding Multitarn pattern. With the global warming in progress, It´s highly unlikely to see Schneetarn any longer.
Schneetarn as used with Gebirgsjäger from 2016.

Perfect, thank you Hermann, i can fashion a balaclava out of putty as the beret will not match, as well as the panels inside the ankle, and use foil for the thigh pockets.

Brilliant

The answers I got from 3 German language pages I follow with inputs from perviously serving guys, (Bw, & Modelling) say that Schneetarn wouldn’t be issued to Tank & Armour crew, as their combat role would be inside the vehicles.
I don’t recall any photos of BW armour in Schneetarn where the crew were also wearing Schneetarn, (but I wasn’t looking for that!)
