Don’t worry about the clear parts and rubber tyres. It is testsort only.

This boxart?

This topic started off with the boxy military (??) style hood and then
the civvy type was added.
We are getting many different Bedfords  :+1:

Does that mean the rubber tyres will be replaced with good moulded plastic ones?

It’s getting hard to keep up with all the new releases,
the want list just keeps on growing and the wallet keeps on groaning …

If that is the case, the clear parts will be replaced by better “glass”…

Rubber tyres will have better details than plastic one. You need more molds in the slide molding.

How far off is the release Terance?

My reply is “there is one or two small details need further refinement, which is an integral part of the ongoing development process.”… However You will not have to wait for another 7 months and still cannot see anything.

Is it not possible to cast the tyres in resin? If the kit comes with vinyl tyres I will probably look at making resin copies for myself when I get around to the build, if no AM tyres are on the market by that time. I just don’t trust vinyl components (or Dragon’s DS version)

Cost and hassle?
Many model builders do not want to bother with resin wheels/tires.

Numerous constraints were present in this situation. Some discussions have taken place.

Rubber, vinyl, and resin tires were considered, with rubber tires being the most cost-effective option due to fewer slide molds and enhanced detailing. There are both civilian and WD tires available with varying rim designs. The molder responsible for the test build confused these components. The molder also confused with the parts on the early / late version.

Regarding Pyrene fire extinguishers, they feature a T handle that can be positioned horizontally or vertically, along with a safety clip. To minimize the number of photo-etched parts, certain details were omitted, although we adhered to some photographic references. It won’t be cost effective to make another fire extinguisher for Bedford OS.
