Great job on the paint scheme! Looks like there are three pieces to this kit? The tank resembles a cross between an FT17 and bullfrog, but it has that throw it all at me it will just bounce off look to it. First time seeing this tank, thank for sharing! Looing forward to seeing the finished replica.

@Braille . The kit is actually 5 pieces with a hollow body . Thank you for the kind words .
As fate would have it and because I just cant seem to leave well enough alone. This was originally intended as a quick stand alone build . None of the extra stuff.
Well that plan went out the window, this has been so enjoyable, I decided to throw together a simple trench / no mans land base. Not getting real crazy with the trench part so it dose not detract from the tank .

A bit more work is done on the Char and a bit more on the base . They both still need quite a bit to cross the finish line…lol

Coming together very nicely Chris.

Thank you very much Peter. It has been a really fun and quick diversion , Im still putting some touches on the M18 so this has been good to work on in between.
Looks great…but I must laugh at the colours!!
Didn’t France have expressionist artists to design camouflage patterns?

@camshaft @Annette_Dominic . I was disturbed by the colors as well .
From what I can tell it seems that this was considered a disruptive pattern.
Yes it appears they were expressionist.
You might be thinking of Allied Navy ships and their dazzle camo.
I have no problem with your well executed camo scheme. To me it seems period correct. But I still have trouble believing that those in charge allowed that tank to actually built and deployed.

@barnslayer . Thank you. It was a fun camo to do. Im still a bit surprised at the colors used at the time . If you want to see some really bizarre camo check out some of the lozenge patterns.

The crazy part is this was intended to be a heavy assault tank
‘I love it when a plan gets thrown out of the window!’
I do this a lot myself !
A good scene though, it really lets the unique shape and stature of the tank show through while giving a nice bit of context. I also like the depth of the trench- its a nicely shaped scene you’ve designed.

@Karl187 . Thank you. My plan almost always never survives first contact. When I start building a kit , ideas for the setting come flooding in and then the plan is gone.
Realistically though it makes it more fun

Are you talking about the Peugeot ? The Peugeot was a light tank, similar to the FT size-wise. In fact it was not accepted by the Army which prefered the FT variant fitted with the same 75mm BS (Blockhaus Schneider) gun :
This gun was also fitted to the Schneider CA 1…

Frenchy. Yes allegedly it was intended to be a heavy assault tank.
Squatty and stout in appearance, the Peugeot Char-2 was an innovative design as an assault tank.
The above is copied directly from the manufacturer.
