Looks good to me. On our COP the base could face inward or outward.
When did that come out? Did mine right after Mike got back… 2006.
It had to have been 2008 or after. They used photos of signs I took - they gave you more in the kit than what’s pictured.
Just based mine off of some google images and SWAGs. Store fronts and sidewalk are balsa textured with putty.& sheet styrene. Road is just putty on base. Poster was pulled from Google and printed on my printer. Graffiti hand painted ,after pulling up Arabic on google translate
Nicely done. Weird how they look so similar. Maybe they copied yours!
More like the stink about the MiG-29 looking like the F-18(YF-17) … “Oh the
commies copied it.” Interview with an aeronautical engineer at the time,he said … "laws of physics dont have political ideologies. If you want an aircraft to perform a specific way you have to design it with specific features. " If you want downtown Bagdad you dont use a Swiss ski chalet . If they DID copy mine, you know a good plagiarism lawyer?
The layout looks interesting.
The Tamiya M2A2 arrived. Now I will do some kit bashing.
The Academy interior comes into the Tamiya. So I can build the Tamiya one with a open ramp.

The Bradley is ready. The wheels, I paint separately.
Both hulls are not glued yet. I builed the Bradley out of the box. The only thing I changed, I builed in the Academy interior.
Test on the diorama.
Now’s time for the tracks. I use AFV workable tracks.

Today, I formed the sandbags.
I’m still working at the palm tree.
Also at the barb wire.

It looks awesome so far. I assume it is a walk-through checkpoint though. No vehicle would be able to weave through the barriers. They are way too close together for that.
Correct. It’s a walk through checkpoint.

Nice tree. Gives the whole thing a good sense of balance.
A palm tree without a clue! Sorry, couldn’t help myself. Wayne
The scene looks fantastic.
