Hello! After spendng way too much time on Facebook, tired of of fighting bots, ads and worse to find some info or share some, I finally decided to get back to things that do what it says on the box, forums.
I’m now 60, have been scale modelling for over 52 straight years. I have lived in the US (NJ and KY) for 3 years, in the UK (Kent) for 22 years, and I am now back ‘home’ in Belgium, near the city of Liège in the eastern part of the French-speaking area of the country, where I grew up.
My scale modelling interests are numerous and very varied, from aircraft to ships, from AFVs to cars, from figures to real spacecraft, from SF to Chibis and to a strange fascination with Minions..! I work in various scales, from 1/10 to 1/700, with slight preferences for 1/72, 1/144 and 1/200.
I am since 2005 the owner and main pattern-maker of a little scale modelling company that offers various resin kits that illustrate pretty well my varied interests. Old-school pattern making, but I’m slowly getting involved in CAD and 3D printing. However, I still build and paint ‘just for fun’ too and I’m still member, as well as librarian and secretary, of the local model club I joined back in 1979.
I look forward to sharing stuff with you all!

Welcome to the forum.
Not too many bots here, thankfully. Just keep your BS meter calibrated.

Er, I’ve got to ask: Are you the same Domi from Retrotracks? I mean, welcome anyway, but I’m just curious(!)

Domi, that’s great and glad to hear you’re in good form (unlike yours truly!)
This is a pretty good site; packed full of helpful modellers, always willing to share and add to the corporate knowledge. I rely on them a lot, especially when I’m modelling something obscure from the Cold War.
'Really pleased you’re here. Enjoy!

Welcome Domi - talk about membership credentials, it would be difficult to top your qualifications, including perfect English which I for one never take for granted. I see you’ve spent plenty of time amongst the perfidious (of whom I am one), but even so I admire those who master this crazy & frequently abused language. Looking forward to seeing your builds.

Thanks for your welcome and kind words! I hope not to disappoint you.. My English has lost a bit of its quality since I moved back to Belgium. The French-speaking Belgians are not renowned for their language skills.. LOL

Great to see you joining here Domi @djmodels! I still have a half built RetroTracks M75, that I picked up at Telford many years ago, I probably spoke with you then?
I need to get my finger out and finish the M75!
Welcome!
Hi Terry! Have not been back to Telford since I left the UK in 2015, I think? Been a while in any case! Yes, you need to complete this Full Track! I hope to see it one of those days on this forum. Won’t be tomorrow, I know, but do not wait too long!!

Domi, in case you’re feeling disheartened, you can always fall back on mine:
I remember when I first showed it you at the Belgian Plastic & Steel show one year, I recall you saying, with no small astonishment, “Oh! You’ve built it then?”
Come on Terry!
