Combat scale models (uk)

Hi
Is anyone familiar with this brand that is described as being UK based. I did a search and could not find anything, even tried UK companies register to no avail.
These listings showed up on a Chinese re-caster site on AliExpress.

Any info would be appreciated.

From Google Gemini (AI)...Searched: “is combat scale models (UK) company real?”

Yes, “Combat Scale Models” (often referred to as “Combat Kits”) is a real company, particularly known in the niche of vacuform and resin scale model kits.

Here’s what the search results indicate:

  • Existence and History: Combat Models has a history, and it seems to have gone through changes in ownership. Jeff Roberts was mentioned as the owner/operator looking for a buyer in 2021. More recently, Dave Little, operating as “Combat Kits” (under the eBay seller name “combatkits” and linked to ModelCraft Hobbies Ltd), has taken over or continued producing models, including reworked versions of older Magna kits.
  • Location: While the original Combat Models (Jeff Roberts) was in Pennsylvania, USA, the current “Combat Kits” (Dave Little) operates out of the UK. His eBay profile lists a UK address, and discussions on modelling forums confirm the kits are now made in the UK.
  • Product Type: They are primarily known for vacuform and resin kits, which are different from the more common injection-molded plastic kits (like those from Tamiya or Airfix). These types of kits often require more advanced modeling skills, including significant scratch-building and more intensive clean-up, as indicated by various forum discussions and reviews.
  • Availability: Their kits are often sold directly, for example, through their eBay store (“combatkits”).

> In summary, “Combat Scale Models (UK)” (or “Combat Kits”) is a real, albeit specialized, company in the scale modeling world, offering vac-formed and resin kits that appeal to experienced modelers.

Thanks but I had come across Combat Kits and this is not the same outfit. Completely different line of products.

I still have a kit or two from the original Combat Models - 1/32 vacuform aircraft . IIRC they were located in Wall Township NJ.
