Wow you’re quick, and talented.
My set is finally in the mail since I ordered it on December 2nd. Can’t wait to start this project.
@Small_Designer amazing work! I hope you’ll find a manufactor in Europe. The shipping and taxes are very high.
Andreas
too bad you cant do a roof for the US M1070A1 so we dont have to deal with the Photoetch roof on the hobby boss kit
does the US M1070/A1 also have the marker lights in the visor?
how can i get one for my M107A1
since we now have both the M1070A1/M1300 and the British M1070F
now we need both trailers to go with them
Now that would take very long time and effort to research and design.
I doubt it’s going to be worth doing looking at the response I get here.
You won’t need to convert or scratch the trailer, the Trumpeter Mammut uses the same type of King trailer. Just wait for that. If you can’t, l have seen the Mammut and trailer 3d printed on eBay.
So the Mammut trailer is used with the US M1300 EHET or used by the Brits with thier M1070F?
The King trailer was originally designed to be used by the M1070F. The British version of the M1070. This is the type now used by the Germans with their Mammut, the US M1070A1 and the Canadian version with a Mercedes tractor unit.
I suspect these trailers have local variations or modifications but are broadly the same.
Accurate Armour did a kit of this tractor and trailer in 1/35 but they are going out of business and the kits are long out of production.
It wouldn’t take much for Trumpeter/Hobbyboss to make the M1070A1 and M1070F. One or two sprues probably.
Trumpeter and Hobbyboss are not going to invest the time or resources in this, at least not anytime soon.
They told me this personally.
The price of producing the molds for such small market is not worth it for them.
But they can always prove me wrong, and try to catch up like they are trying to do with the HEMTT A4. Lol
I love the scratch build. that looks fantastic.
The M1300 is used in combination with the M1302 trailer, built by the Dutch company Broshuis BV. I did contact Broshuis BV to see if they would be willingly to share some information (drawings, etc) However Dutch/US DOD have forbidden to share any information on this matter.
The SLT-2 Elefant and trailer are printed and sold by MAD Modellbau from Germany.
The SLT-2 Elefant has no armoured cabin, the SLT-2 Mammut has the armoured cabin.
I got one, superb quality.
I wonder what could possibly classified about a 32 wheeled trailer?
