That’s looking good!
Recently I had a bit of a spurt at the bench to sort of clear my head, and threw together the old Italeri water tanker truck kit. I gave it a slight twist by cross-kitting it with the Italeri open-cab cargo truck to get an open cab on my water truck. (Easy enough, as both use the same frame and fenders, so it really is as simple as swapping cab parts!) I also replaced the kit wheels (which are a tad small and have an odd profile no doubt based on modern replacement tyres) with some nice Panzer Art resin ones, with hubs I designed for 3D printing specifically to facilitate mounting them on Italeri kits. The rest was simple assembly as per the instructions. I forgot to take pics until after I sprayed it with primer - oops!
OD paint etc to follow…
Thanks Tom, it won’t be a showstopper, just a working rig. Your tanker looks great, and I plan to build a Cold War-era 5-ton tanker on the AFV Club M54 base, with or without the M809 cab etc update. I’ve got a buddy who may be able to create a tank out of Cedar but that Italeri kit is giving me ideas.
