D9R - 'Major Overhaul' diorama

Hi Charles

According to the info here https://avspare.com/caterpillar/link/6y1130/ and here https://avspare.com/caterpillar/shoe/7t2294/

the track chain alone (shoes not included) weights around 1519 kg and each track shoe weights 36 kg. I let you do the math

Ouch! Thanks buddy. I would need huge forklift for that. Ok, that forlift I was considering definitely won’t work. Ok. Thanks man.

Have done some changes since the last update.

  1. Re-arranges a couple of the figures

  2. Added oil spills and oil absorbents(they are basically materials used to help soak up as much oil spills as possible.

  3. Re-arranged the cab and pallets to make room for a forklift.

  4. Added a couple of fire extinguishers. Will have to add a couple of signs too.

  5. I managed to straighten out the kink in the overhead crane. Probably not 100% perfect but way better than in the last update.

Things left to do:

  1. Add a figure in the forklift.

  2. Some minute details.

  3. A couple of signs.

  4. Finishing off the forklift. Still need some detail weathering here and there. Then complete it with a coat of matt solution.

And whatever comes to mind that will fit the space. Hope you like what you see. Until the next update. Thanks for looking.

Awesome once more… I worked in a car garage for a while when I wore a younger mens’ clothes, and they used some sort of cat grit for oil spils… might be a nice addition…

Thank you LonCray.

Thank you so much. I appreciate it.

That’s as impressive as original. Whatever angle you’re looking at your dio from there are so many details to discover that it is incredible.
