I’ve been searching the web but can’t seem find anything. Does anyone know of a set of decals for 1/35 scale Abrams from the 69th Armor / 24th ID from the early 90’s? Trying to build a tank for a friend who was a TC in D Co, 1st PLT (D-11 hull number–“Jerry’s Kids” on the bore).
Many thanks

You will probably have to get a little custom on that.
This is what it’d look like ; the “V” chevrons on the front turret, the bumper numbers; plus adding the side skirt marks too. This picture was taken during the Desert Storm Victory parade in DC in 1992.
This one was taken in Mogadishu, Somalia in 1993 when 2bd Bde was sent to reinforce the UN mission there following Op Gothic Serpent (BHD). I was in 1st Bde and we almost got sent there, but Gen. Blackwell, Commander of the 24th Infantry at the time sent 2nd Bde instead.
this blurry one shows a D Company tank on a training exercise. Don’t know if this is a tank from either the 69th or 64th Armor Regiment tank, but the markings would be the same. A little extra detail. The 69th was called the “Panther” regiment, so they would have a stalking panther painted on the smoke grenade box on the side.
I was not in an armor unit, I was a supply clerk with 2-7th Infantry back then, but the armor regiment unit offices were across the parking lot from me, so I’m rattling off from memory.
