Decals For Modern Vehicles

Considering that modern camouflage is robot-painted and identical rather than random, one would think there would be color camouflage decal sets for modern vehicles, but I cannot seem to find anything.

Some people have enough problems putting on bumper codes properly, let alone whole camo schemes. That said, there are masks for various Chinese digital patterns, and at least one for a Russian SPG splinter pattern that I have.
Now that I think about, black “crow’s feet” for MERDC would be brilliant. That’s the toughest part for most people to paint, being either too thick or not pointy enough on the ends.

I have an overall decal set for a Japanese Type 89 medium.

The problem is with draping decals over quite large discontinuities like tool brackets, lifting lugs, and raised access panels. They would inevitably tear.

I have used die-cut camo masks, but even these need careful planning to sequence the build and painting. You can’t just stick them over a completed model and start painting.

One option.

Green Stuff World has digital vehicle decals.

There are PE Digital camo stenciling templates. Also templates to help cut your own digital pattern in tape.

Cross Delta makes 1/35 and 1/16 uniform decal sheets that might be useful.

J’s Work makes camo decals for modern vehicles. I used the one for Humvee in NATO 3-color camo and they work really well.
