I just received a set of the T48s and am amazed at how easy they click together! My only wish is that they sold the EECs separately, and that they develop the early version of the EECs. That way I could mix & match parts to make any combo of tracks seen in period photos!
I ordered several sets of these M4 tracks and I am totally impressed. They are economically priced, shipping is low, and when they arrived I was shocked at the outstanding detail and high print quality. The assembly couldn’t be easier; even a novice or junior could do it. Connection is positive and foolproof and they stay together. DN Studio has a customer for life here - I was using Masterclub tracks but no more - the excellence of these tracks is impossible to beat and I will be ordering all of my M4 tracks from them in the future. Very highly recommended.
That’s great news! (I am modelling one M32 TRV from a photo where it has one T48 track, and one T49 track! Both have the early duckbills, with a few missing. It’s stalled at the moment, but if you offered the duckbills I’d be over the moon! I was not looking forward to adapting the ancient DML duckbills…)
Wow - a pack of early duckbills has arrived while I was out at a show! Thanks! And I’ve just put in an order for more track sets on ebay to use them with. Now i have to find the most humane way to dispose of all the DML, Bronco, and AFV Club sets in the stash…
So I grabbed some time this evening to put together a track run using their T49 links and these early EECs - all in it took an hour of simple snapping. That compares to maybe 3+ hours to make a RFM T48 track, or the Bronco set that can be timed on a calendar! I did it in batches o 10 links, making seven plus a short run of seven for a total of 77 links. Real Shermans took 79, but in our modelling world things don’t necessarily work out exactly, so I’d rather have to add a link or two, rather than having to remove some. And as the recipient hull isn’t ready I can’t dry-fit for length yet.
Assembly was a doddle! I managed to break a single end-connector but there are tons of spares provided. There is a bit of play in them that may affect overall length, so again build short, test fit, then add more. These should look great once painted.
