Hola everyone,
So, I have the old Tamiya kit. It was never bad, but I want to dress it up a bit. What kind of periscopes did it use for the driver, & does someone make them? Or can I use WWII era periscopes & call it a day? TIA!
Damon.

The M48A3 used an M17 periscope for the driver.
The M4 Sherman’s driver’s periscope is the longer M4 periscope.
So they are similar, but not the same. You could cut down the M4 to be the length of an M17 though.
If you can only see the top, then Sherman periscopes will likely do just fine. Or just cut a bit of plastic card to fit inside the housing.
