Here is the final guy for the vignette and he is straight from the box even the head. The last pattern smock is spot on except for the missing cloth loop for the e tool. I need to buy more Cassino sets from Dragon.

Just excellence Jerry. This after zooming in naturally, but to imagine how tiny your brushes must be carrying the paint. And the varying tonal control over the uniform’s shadow and highlighting just blows my mind. I fully understand this is uniform painting basics, but you just get it.
Your last fig alone shows -what- like four colors on just the helmet alone.

Hey thanks buddy. I read that these guys liked to spray paint the helmets before they went to Normandy. I drybrushed the colors on though as I hate an airbrush.

OK here we go. A small group of German Parachutists from the 3rd Para Regt have been cut off by the rapid American advances on the Cotentin peninsula and are trying to escape and evade to friendly lines, wherever they may be.

You’ve managed to create a very tense scene- the faces and poses showing the alertness and stress of operating behind the lines. The scenery and vegetation add a great sense of realism- not to mention the dramatic camera work!

Bloody hell Jerry! You suddenly go from one or two great figures to ‘here’s a little scene I slapped together’, and there’s multiple excellent figures, vegetation and walls! As always, the sense of movement and energy around your builds really brings them to life! Lovely finish!

Oh my what an absolute peach – it’s not too often I realise my jaw’s been hanging open for a few minutes, it was looking at the minute details here. So deceptively simple, it isn’t at all. Bravo, it certainly deserves the Order of the Monochrome…
