European barn diorama

This will need some cobwebs… it’s looking great though. All these separate additions bring the whole scene together and tell you a great story… :+1:

Need to find a 1/35 scale saddle and harnesses along with horse shoes and various chains.

Didn’t like how the shelf unit looked so I built this instead

As with the Tank factory and the rail warehouse/admin building, it is the little hidden details that really make all 3 of these jump out and show how much painstaking work has gone into them.

The funny thing is none of them are finished :joy:. I just get tired of working on the same diorama so I start a new one to re-energize myself.

Really, really wonderful. Your attention to detail… wow. I do have one question (actually several questions, but one is gnawing at me), how did you fabricate the roof shingles?

I use 1/32 sheets of basswood. I use a wire brush to rough up the grain. I make 3/4 inch strips. From those strips I break off about ten smaller pieces using my fingers. This method gives you random pieces. I use a hobby knife blade to rough up the bottom of each shingle. Stain and weather to your choosing. It is a long process. The shed took a day while the roof took about three days.
