First Big Scale in many Years

Despite being a WW2 bird, I will go for a 1950’s markings, so here’s my work so far on the Special Hobby 1:32nd scale Tempest II :::

I started it working on the fuselage last year, with several other builds on the bench, I came back to it this year,

Looks good! I’m keeping my eye on this one for sure.

Colin

Excellent weathering/chipping in the cockpit. :+1:
 :canada:

Great scale. Something to work with! As has been said, great chipping. Very nice.

Thanks Colin !!
I’m really liking this kit so far.

Thanks !!
I’m used to do it on Tanks and other tracked beasts, not delicate cockpits

Thanks !

So far I’m enjoying this one, but with the Resin, PE and the extras I got , the build tends to slow down a little due to all the sub assemblies required.
But I’m pretty confident I’ll make it !!! :grinning:

You will, you’ve come this far A-1. The parts are a lot of work, but it’s going to make a difference!

Today’s work, touched up some parts that needed paint, adjusted the seat.

Coming along good. Those little pain-to-do-adjustments are part of the overall finish.

I have their Mark V release. Following your build as I imagine they aren’t too different.

Another update, today I worked on the instrument panel,

Small mistake here, you are supposed to use Resin part #29 not #11 ,

Primer and Paint will be next, and I will have to scratch the PE part since I lost the kit’s PE fret awhile ago, and the Eduard set doesn’t cover this part.

Started cleaning up the wing and working on the wheel well parts, the fitting isn’t perfect here, I might need some putty and maybe I’ll try some wiring, but let’s see first how it all fits in place…

That’s it for today !

Nice work !
If I may make a suggestion - photograph your work on a plain background rather than the box art .
It will show what you are doing more clearly.
Cheers - Richard
