I went back to the museum a week ago and they have a new aircraft. A P38J. It arrived this past summer. They had some of the original aircraft frame there alongside it. Based on the condition or the original parts, this aircraft has to be completely new aircraft. It flew in so it is a flying aircraft.
The Stuka has been shipped to Arkansas where it is to be completed to flying status and to be returned. The original wing from the Stuka remains at the museum. Apon looking closely it becomes apparent that the marking on the wing, were taped off and brush painted. You could see the brush marks in the paint.
