Thanks Hermann! That’s the way to take one for the team!

As a sidenote, I think the designation is BTR-152N not BTR-152U.
Just in case I want to built another BTR-152N, where can I get their kits?

I am not saying you’re incorrect but it seems most folks refer to it as U for the command post version. One example

Thanks Ryan. As for designations, there may be a discrepancy between NATO and Soviet designations. My NVA books call the truck BTR-152N.

Hi Hermann! Its interesting you should mention that some call it the N, thanks for calling that out. Referencing the sources we are aware of, the BTR-152V command variant is named BTR-152S, and the BTR-152V1 command variant is named BTR-152U. Albeit the differences are very slight. We hope this information is useful too.
Thanks for getting involved with the discussion :grinning:

Jane´s Armour and Artillery also call it BTR-152U. I think we can choose the designation ourselves. To me, it will be SPW-152N.

@FoxHoppModels
Do you plan to release a set of headlight guards for BTR-152? I am interested in purchasing at least 4 sets for my different builds?

Hi Hermann, yes we do plan on this. There are a few bits and pieces we will do for the 152 in the near future. This includes another conversion kit for an even more obscure variant. Are there any other accessories you’d like to see become available?

Hi FoxHopp Models,
as I am building GDR NVA there are several weapons carrier versions. After withdrawing them from APC service, SPW-152 (GDR designation) were used transporting AT teams using 9K11 Malyutka AT-2 (Sagger) and 9M111 Konkurs (AT-5 Spiral) teams. I look forward for the BTR-152 Light Guards.
