Fw 190 F8

This is an original release from Eduard.it is a profi pack so all pe is included. This is the kit with the complete engine but it is useless detailing it unless you’re going to leave the cowl off. The kit has fit issues with the wing halves and wing root and the cannon bay covers which needed putty sanding and reapplying but in all a decent kit and good price if you can still find them. I have one more to build.

I added brake lines and cannon barrels. The paints are hataka rlm 76 lacquer, MM rllm 81,82 and a custom mix of rlm 81 v2 since I do not believe there was a green rlm 83 as the instructions call for. I believe rlm 83 was a blue. The cowl and tail rlm 76 was lightened up to suggest repainted or replaced parts, rlm 04 rudder and cowl stripe.

All free hand airbrushed, weathered with flory wash and airbrushed mud on wheel covers, underside and engine exhaust.

I will n box stock at the poukipsie ipms show two weekends ago.

I really like the way it turned out. Joe

According to the page RLM Camouflage Colors, “RLM 83 is even more enigmatic, a Dunkelgrün that must have been intended to replace RLM 74 in the RLM 74/75 scheme and so provide a green-gray combination more suitable for defensive ground camouflage. It seems likely, too, that RLM 81/82/83 were reissues of the nearly identical RLM 61/62/64 that had appeared in the Farbtontafel of 1938—and used pigments that could be produced in Germany.
