Heya Chris , thanks man . Continue with the grasses and throw some ivy creeping up the trunk .
That’s looking good Glenn, I guess we can um leave it to you…sorry, best I could do. Amazing versatility, one minute you’re throwing together professional-quality architectural models, the next you dump some serious AFV hardware & crew into it, I need to find a fresh jaw-dropped pooch meme
The detail and shape of this tree are terrific. The dedication to add those leaves in varying colors is inspiring. I think it will look incredible once they are all in place and the plan to put ivy creeping up will certainly tie it into the base nicely with the ivy already in place nearby.
Holy cow dude I thought I was nuts with all the paper leaves I use! It doesn’t hold a candle to what you are doing. Nice work ( and LOTS of it ) man!

This is extraordinary! I never thought I’d see a model that would top that 1/35 chateau someone built years ago. Now I have. Cheyenne, you and your art is inspirational. Thank you for showing us how you do it.
Even though I’m photo logging the entire tree leaf project [ for my own build records ]
I promise I won’t post every time I add a couple of leaves .
I broke the tree [ clay base ] squeezed the clamp a tad to tight . Glue is setting up as I post .
Just want to see how this is panning out …
Tim , thanks man !!
Karl , thanks man , don’t know weather it’s dedication or OCD …
JR , thanks man , oh it’s nuts !!
JPTRR , Aaaah shucks … thanks Fred , much appreciated . What chateau , I’d love to see it if you can find it .
Holy Foliation and you think I’m obsessive! I bough to your dedication & patience
Ok, being a few weeks behind the curve, I’d say for a guy who’s not sure where he’s going, you’ve certainly picked the right path. That brain of yours and the imagination are a real trip Bro, totally awesome Dude!
With everything together, it paints an incredible scene, love it!
This sums it up

Hi Glenn,
WOW! I have to agree with Chris B, we are definitely not worth,
.
You’ve also convinced me to invest in some leaf cutting tools…going to need a rise in my pocket money allowance as I’m too old to take up a paper round,
.
Cheers,
,
G
Nice going on the tree. Please do try to add some color differences within the separate leaves as this will create more harmony…
As for the castle @JPTRR mentioned, might be this one : the castle of Clerf/Clervaux in Luxemburg in 1:35
Saw this one on a modelling show in Belgium in 2007.
Thanks Tim , I’ll leaf that to your imagination …
BroSki , thanks man , …
Chris , thanks man , I’ve seen your work and you’re more than worthy !!!
G , thanks man , you’re also more than worthy !!! BNA models about fourteen U.S. dollars per punch .
Erwin , ah yes how could I forget . That’s Claude Joachim’s work . He pretty much actually built the whole village . Yes when I’m done leafing the tree I’ll add some green hues .
He did not build the village then…
That might be it. Thanks for posting, Erwin.
I looked it up and the modeler had a book. This site does not seem to be 100% functional but is interesting: http://diorama-clervaux.com/
The website indeed is a bit dodgy…
Ok , I lied , wasn’t gonna show every branch done updates but I’m about a quarter way through and I need to see it in film .
Crazy scaffolding to fill out the branches with some smaller sucker leaf shoots .
When done I’ll have to add some different green washes to break the monotone color of the leaves .
Impressive amount of labor there man! Wow!
It is paying off for you though in my opinion. Looks nice!
J
All hail the founding President of the Dioramic Arborist Modelmaker’s Network - you da DAMN MAN! Crazy brilliant work Glenn, and yeah I know you’ve only just begun to foliate

A real labour of love this tree Glenn, its filling out with leaves beautifully- you can just tell it will be one impressive addition to this already stunning work.
