Finished up this GAZ painted in Ts-68 Wood Deck Tan. I still don’t understand why the interior is painted in camo that’s weird to me. Originally I had used some round decals that had the Russian colors BUT soon found out it was actually for another country so a piece of tape and I removed them. And I replaced them with the new Russian star and some number decals from my T55 kit I had in my spare decal bin. Fun kit easy to build and good fitment.
That is a very cool marking and paint scheme for this vehicle! Also- iirc the interior is camo because on the real vehicle it is fabric panels that attach to the sides and roof.
Do you perhaps have any photos of the original in sand colour?
As far as I seen there are none in any sand color I painted this one in sand just to break up all the kits I had been painting in various shades of green to get some color variety in the models.
@Karl187 Thank you. I’ve never seen interior camo before this kit it struck me as weird I wonder what the logic is behind it having the interior in camo?
The panels seem quite thick in the various photos online of the interior. That could just be padding to protect from bumps etc but could possibly be some form of protective lining.
Russia hasn’t officially painted their Gaz Tigers sand but various SF units have used a locally sourced sand wash to camouflage their vehicles.
Algeria and Libby infections have sand coloured Gaz tigers.
Looks like a typical weekend after going mudding ![]()
I wonder if there’s a point in painting the cmao interior since even at 1/35 it’s not visible , I personnaly have the ace and suyuta kits of the tigr to build
Yeah I didnt bother with the interior past the dash board and front seats since you cant see anything else unless you built it with the rear doors open.
In the Meng 1/35 kit the interior camo is provided as decals.
