Gecko: US M4 Sherman Workable Tracks | Armorama™

I’ve built three or four of sets of MiniArt T41s, and though I found them hard going at first, they’re a lot easier than they seem if, like I said, you make a jig.

I would have to say those are my favourite Sherman tracks too, but having to order them from the USA means I only ever did so twice. And just as I was thinking about buying some more, they closed up shop :frowning: I still have one set, WD-212s I intend to use on a Ram, but the other day I began comparing the Gecko kit to real-world dimensions and … oh, my, that will be a lot of work to correct …

Watched the video and that looks amazing! Where can I get some of those?

I bought directly from him, they ship from Poland and made it to Canada in about 2 weeks

I have several sets of RHPS tracks that I think became Panda Plastic’s at some point and I struggled to get the individual duck bill pieces straight in my last M4 105 build. I could have done a better job if I was more patient.

I never took that on, on any brand that offered separate tiny pieces for the extensions. The guys that made those look good almost always built a jig to keep everything lined up.

For EEC builds I always used the rubber band type tracks. One of my personal favorites was the Dragon DS T54E1 tracks, I thought they really hit that one right out of park with those. Thing is the tracks will always look brand spanking new.

My gut is telling me to get a larger order, maybe 2-3 of each Sherman type. All I build is different Sherman variants so it makes sense for me, figure I’d be saving on shipping in the long run.

But I’ve never seen this product in hand before. Someone online posted a video of QC issues, did you experience anything like that with your sets?

@Shermaniac i had no issues with mine. I broke a link only when I was trying to shorten the runs I had built. Once they are assembled they are tough to take apart without breaking

Sounds good, I’ll be placing an order with them real soon. Those tracks look like they might actually be fun to put together for a change.
