He appears to be wearing the Black Leather U Boat clothing as per “HJ”.

We must have reached the moment that every Axis soldier has its own copy!

What about more figures from the UK, female military staff and Afro-American soldiers?

Are German subjects really that much more popular? Completely over represented considering they lost the war in the worse possible way. I have noticed that when Allied figures get made they sell out right away and so I know the demand is there.

On a side note a lot of these German soldiers are like out on vacation or something. Hanging out, pitching tents, hanging laundry, drinking wine with buddies. Pretty much doing just about anything you can imagine, except forcing civilians to dig mass graves in preparations for massacres and stuff like that.. It’s always the romanticized fantasy. Who is commissioning all these figures?

Good point about German poses. Despite the myriad of German figures available, there is still AFAIK no decent German gun crew in action, certainly not a Waffen SS one in smocks, apart from the recent MiniArt release, but that’s an anti-tank gun crew. Dragon’s ancient gun crew just seem to be aimlessly walking around. The only “in action” crew I know of is an old Trumpeter set. Tamiya did several “in action” infantry sets, but no one will really want to use them now. Their 88 had pretty much a full crew, but likewise they look pretty ropey alongside modern figures. That’s what I like about Tamiya, their vehicles come with a crew, their latest figures are very good. Why is this so difficult for other manufacturers?
