I think you are close to the truth. My spies say that its main role is to sneak in and mine enemy locations.

I’m not worried about Oz being invaded by sea – all we need to do is corral all the sharks INSIDE the beach shark nets, and release armies of cultivated funnel-web spiders & assorted snakes onto the landing areas.

According to the Wikipedia, a Ghost Shark is approximately 5.8 meters long. That makes it perfect for the 1/35 scale sub collection. Make it so…points finger at…Hobby Boss.

The next Swedish submarine, project A26, is being designed with a
humongous frontal “torpedo” tube.
No secret, this has been published in Swedish magazines. The image shows divers swimming out but I suppose other things would fit in there as well.
If you look closely at recent images you will see material covering the nose plus some other “funny” sections. Obviously hiding features.
