Just for fun, and nostalgia, AFV CLUB M38a1 jeep (one that I picked up on a trade from this site - thanks GQ 
) in Gi Joe Adventure Team style. I have a few sheets of AT decals and decided to use one for a jeep project. Dio may followā¦ not sure. The jeep was a bear to build, fit wise, with lots of surgery to get everything to sit right (as possible). Finished in Tamiya dark yellow 2 and weathered with oils and Tamiya pastels. I did add lots of decals from spares to jazz it up a bit. I see I have a few touch-ups to do, but otherwise, done.

Pretty awesome, but to be truly accurate shouldnāt it be bright yellow like the helicopter and ATV?

Nopeā¦ the one I built was the Desert Adventurer version I had as a kidā¦ they made a tan and a green with searchlight and recoilless rifleā¦ never saw a Yellow one.

I wish I could be an āadventurerā and get a recoilless rifle with my jeep.
So cool! I love seeing something creative like this. Now youāll just have to transform a 1/6 toy jeep to the same level of detail.

yes, the Jeep with the recoilless rifle and searchlight, another one I had as a kid, is really cool. The light worked two (batteries not included though)

I too had that green Jeep! Fitted mine with a ācanvasā top too. And I also had that six-wheel buggy that came with a pith helmet and digging tools for an Egyptian excavation. But my friend down the road had us all beat - he had the space capsule and silver space suit! It was the tail end of the Apollo era and we all wanted to be astronautsā¦

@ttwells Thatās it!!! I donāt remember doing much with the spotlight but we used to make fortresses out of playing cards, and sit back and bombard them with the Jeep recoilless rifle. And didnāt the Jeep have a siren?
@barkingdigger I had that six real buggy. It had a crane on the back. Might as well thank you that had a bubble canopy, too. Those were the days!
Never got the capsule. I recall it had been discontinued by the time I started getting GI Joeās. We had a couple of cool GI joeās, AKA the warrior types but almost immediately they came out with the guys with the fuzzy heads and the Kung Fu grip. Actually I think they all had the fuzzy head. I donāt think I ever had one with the plastic hair that was painted. Then shortly thereafter they scrapped the war mongering soldiers and went to the Adventure Team. Remember the guy in the scuba gear fighting the shark with the knife?
I still have my huge GI Joe club with plastic dog tags!

Thank you - I knew my build would be nostalgic for many, many people - especially since a lot of us modelers are products of our Gi Joe Adventure Team childhoods.

I have one Gi Joe A.T, 12" figure - a re-pop from Hasbro circa 2000. I wish I had my old collection - my mother set them free in a yard sale I am sureā¦
