Good Armour-Specific Magazines?

Just like the title says, I’m looking for a magazine that is dedicated to armour modelling. I’d really prefer if it were of the physical kind, as I like to remember the times I’d be waiting with bated breath for the next issue of The Hockey News or Car and Driver.

I was considering FineScale’s magazine, but I’m purely interested in the armour, so 75% of each issue is a no-go.

It isn’t life or death, but I’m seriously getting bored of re-reading my Tom Clancy novels, lol.

AMPS (Armor Modeling and Preservation Society) has one, or at least they did, but I think you have to be a member.

There are still a number of armor related modelling magazines printed in English (I’m not including those printed in other languages like French, Japanese, etc.): AFV Modeller, Military Modelcraft International, Model Military International, Military Illustrated Modeller (alternates between aircraft and armor, so essentially bi-monthly for the armor edition), and Abrams Squad (modern armor only). Abrams Squad also publishes Dioramag as noted in another post, but this is not strictly armor related and has ships, figures, scenery, etc.

Other then Abrams Squad, the rest are available in Canada at Chapters/Indigo, but it is hit and miss depending on location.

Correct on both accounts as far as I know.

Military Modelcraft International, AFV Modeller, Model Military International, AMPS Boresight…ALL armor specific.

I subscribe to Model Military International out of England. It is pricey but devoted almost 100% to armor. Tankette, also out of England, is also devoted to armor but gets a little too carried away with details.

The best models armor magazine is AFV modeller from England, i orders it every 2 issue since i’m from the other side of the Channel.
Greats photos, and the models are mainly on nice dioramas!! The number one.
I likes Abrams squad magazine because i mainly makes moderns subjects. Great too.
There’re a few others UK good magazine but not as good as AFV in my opinion.
I have a few Fine scale mag but the quality of the models are far from UK mags.

With the exception of Boresight, all these are published in the UK.

Society Magazines:
Tankette - the journal of the Miniature AFV Association (MAFVA is almost as old as IPMS but has never been as big). Six issues per year - www.mafva.org
Boresight - the journal of AMPS (Armor Modeling and Preservation Society). Six issues per year - www.amps-armor.org

Commercial Magazines:
AFV Modeller - https://www.afvmodeller.com/
Military Modelcraft International (Guideline Publications) - http://www.militarymodelcraft.co.uk/
Model Military International (ADH/Doolittle Publishing) - http://adhpublishing.com
Military Illustrated Modeller - as noted, this alternates between aviation and military issues (also ADH/Doolittle Publishing) - http://adhpublishing.com

AFV Modeller is no longer “Meng”…that ended with issue 122
It’s just plain old AFV Modeller again.
And the best AFV magazine out there.
